The Tube Upsetting Machine from Hydropower Engineering Systems is designed for high-performance hot forging of tube ends. The upsetting process increases the wall thickness at the tube end, providing additional material for machining and improving the strength required for reliable tube connections. The machine can produce different upset configurations, including External Upset, Internal Upset, and Internal-External Upset, based on application requirements and applicable API standards for oil industry tubes. Depending on the upsetting method, wall thickness can be increased by up to 50% for external or internal-external upsetting and up to 100% for internal upsetting. The required forging operation can be completed in one or two stages, depending on the specified dimensions and process limits. Tube upsetting involves extremely high forging forces, requiring a robust machine structure and precisely designed dies. Hydropower Engineering Systems' tube upsetters feature an extended header slide stroke, efficient stock gathering and holding capability, and longer die accommodation compared with conventional forging machines. The system can also be integrated with Pipe Upset Induction Heating, which delivers fast and uniform heating of tube ends to achieve consistent upsetting quality and improved production efficiency.
